About Us

WHO ARE THE DAUGHTERS OF CHARITY?

 Ordinary Catholic Women
with an Extraordinary Mission

Founders:  St. Vincent DePaul, St. Louise de Marillac,
      St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

For nearly 400 years, the Daughters of Charity have served the poor with  devotion and respect and called upon others to help them to do this. They live in Community to energize their love and dedication to service and prayer.

The Daughters of Charity are recognized as women who stand with the poor, both in assisting them directly and in becoming advocates for societal change.
